About
Chicago blues in its purest definition. The veteran harmonica player is a great ambassador of the genre, and in 2020 he was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame. At 71, he still oversees the destiny of Sons of Blues, his favorite band. Once a member of Willie Dixon's Chicago Blues All Stars, he found his niche in Little Walter's groove, with a crisp harmonica sound to match. His greatest admirers of course remember the Harp Attack! a summit of such luminaries of the little instrument as James Cotton, Carey Bell and Junior Wells, an experience he repeated in 1999 on Superharps, with Charlie Musselwhite and the same Cotton. The face of the new generation, guitarist Jamiah Rogers, returns to the festival to delight us all. We look forward to some great duels!
