About
Hailing from the South Side, the cradle of Chicago blues, the 55-year-old guitarist grew up a stone's throw from the legendary Theresa's Lounge bar, where he listened to Buddy Guy and Junior Wells. Arriving on the blues scene in 1996 after a foray into reggae music, the right-handed guitarist, bus driver by day for the Chicago Transit Authority and flamboyant bluesman by night already has five albums to his credit, including the most recent The Preacher The Politician or The Pimp (2019) on the Alligator label. The incisive, incendiary bluesman has drawn heavy inspiration from Jimi Hendrix, Albert Collins and Freddy King along the way, and fans of electric blues are in for a treat. Ready for take-off?
